About a Dream
Instead of writing about me I thought that I would write about how Modish Princess came about. Modish Princess is a dream that a mother has for her daughter. So since I can remember about wanting to be a mother I always had images of a daughter “my princess” well when I became a mother for the first time it was a boy now don’t take me wrong he is my joy and I had tears in my eyes when he was born and he amazes me every day. I know you can guess the next part right? Yippee… I had my girl two years later and I was so happy also because my son and hubby have this bond that I just can’t have with him no matter how many diapers I have changed. Well now that she is becoming a little lady..(she is only 2) she is like my sole we are so close and she warms my heart when she cuddles with me or just wants to sit close to me and watches Strawberry Shortcake (by the way that was my all time favorite cartoon growing up).I started thinking a father leaves behind his name and his legacy for his son right. Yes I will give her my cookbook, my knack for cleaning, maybe my organizational skills. But what can I give my daughter, around the same time my obsession for bows had started and I think I was making more then she had cloths and then it dawned on me...Bows
So I started dreaming of her turning 5 or 6 and helping me pick out colors of ribbon, and then one day she is sitting alongside me and we are chatting and making hair bows, and then more what about we are sitting together having coffee and thinking of marketing ideas on how our website needs to be updated. And then my one last dream that made me say, I will do this for her…that dream was when she told me mama thank you for doing this for me. And that dream became a reality.So I introduce to you Modish Princess everything a mom wants for her princess.
Ladies just wanted to give you all a quick update, we are in the process of changing the website and blog. Don't worry this change is to better accommodate you. Our new website will make it easier for you to shop and find items that you are looking for.Our blog is going to get a face lift too, I realized that we need more room. Now lets get to the fun part..because we are making all these changes we are going to start having some giveaways on the blog. I have to sort out the details as how this will happen but I will do it. This will launch with the new look.If there is something that you would like see change with Modish Princess let us know, after all we are here for you and your princess.
So I am super excited to show this dress off,I know that everyone loves the traditional pillowcase dress but here at Modish Princess I was looking for a twist to it, the traditional dress is so versatile itself I was looking for just a hint of something to give it the twist. So here it is I have taken the original pillowcase dress and snazzed it up a it with a border of ribbon on the bodice I had a great time making this dress Modish Princess is also sponsoring a giveaway at http://www.sweetnsassygirls.com/ now I am not sure when they will do it so take a look at their site if you would like to win a dress and a matching bow. 
I did some really cute sockmonkey hair bows and some really cute kitty cat ones I got some picture up on our facebook fan page with those.
I have some really cute stuff that is coming out on the site in the next few weeks so stay tuned.
Modish Princess launched this week and I was a little nervous but I have to say that I happy with the results. I have some new things to introduce on the website and a some new bows too.We started a shop on Etsy...I love that place way to much not to have...lolWell ladies it is a rainy and cold Sunday so I am going to stay in and get some work done. Will come back later with pictures of the new items.
I am so happy to announce that Modish Princess has launched its own forum for mom's. There are lots of cool features for you from our discussion forums or our groups to creating your own Modish Mom page with blogging. I love that moms can share their pics and just have a place to come together.
OK so I said that I would be back with some good news for our discussion boards well I think that I may have found something for us Modish Mom's. How does having forums, blogs, your own pages that you can load pictures on and write whatever you want sound? Well I came across Ning I am looking into it and well I think that this maybe a really good thing for us. Will be back ladies with some more info on this, but I promise that when Modish Princess launches we will have our meeting place too....

So I went back and forth on should I write this or not but I have to say it "I am not happy with Facebook right now" they went and changed the "Pages" to look like profiles which means that now all the discussions I worked on for the launch of Modish Princess that were on the Page for MP is now a profile and you have to fish around for the discussion board...who has the time right??? So months of designing and working on topics and pics for that page is "chop suey" as far as I am concerned.....can you tell I am mad right now.
But no worries ladies I will find a solution and we will have our pow wow board.

Hello all, sorry I have not posted my first official post ...so there must not be much to follow right? Well I must say there has been many exciting things going on with Modish Princess, some good and some not so good. But I have to say that I have been blessed when I signed up to host with Shoppe Pro because I have meet such good friends there that are so willing to help out with my dilemma's.
Now going forward I am so excited that TessaAnn is creating some awesome and creative buttons for me she is a very creative gal. I must say that when I get her goodies in the mail my mind starts racing on all the different bows I can make using her embellishments. Here a sneak peak to the Designers Collection from the website..
So I have been thinking about a Spring Fever line but I can't seem to get a theme in my head, good thing mother nature can't make up her mind with the weather so I think I may have a few more weeks to come up with something.
I am planning on launching our discussion boards on Facebook when the website launches. We are going to have some great topics there for WAHMs and SAHMs. Well ladies I am signing out for now but will back with more. Have a wonderful and creative day...Modish Mom
